One of my goals is to follow the pow wow trail and visit as many reservations in the US as possible. I want to speak to our people and learn their ways. In the Minnesota Chippewa nation, our cultural language is being taught to all ages. I have heard it said that once a language disappears, the culture also disappears. It took me 27 years to find my heritage. As a native, I want to be part of the generation who keeps our native heritage alive for our future generations. |
